The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and defending regular season champion Baltimore Ravens remain tied atop the Super Bowl 55 odds board as of late June.
Both AFC reps sit at +600, meaning a 6-1 payout to win the Super Bowl. It’s been 15 years since a team repeated as Super Bowl champs (the 2004-2005 Patriots) and repeating has happened just twice in the past three decades (the Denver Broncos in 1998-1999 and Dallas Cowboys in 1993-1994.
So if you figure the odds are stacked against the Chiefs, the Ravens look tempting, according to the Bovada lines.
The defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers have added pieces to sit second at +900. The New Orleans Saints, with Drew Brees back for another ‘final’ season are next at 10-1.
These teams start a run of seven NFC teams in the top 10 of Bet on Super Bowl 55 futures. Oddsmakers feel confident at this stage that the Chiefs and Ravens rule the roost in the AFC but are less certain about the NFC.
And how about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, sitting at 10-1 odds. Armed with Tom Brady and joined by Rob Gronkowski, oddsmakers are being very careful with the Bucs, making sure they do not get in trouble with longshot odds.
Dangerous teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks (around 20-1) offer good early Super Bowl wagering value. Check out the current lines from Bovada below.
