Naturally, you are watching the sideline to see what color of Gatorade shower the winning coach is about to enjoy. Why? Of course you had action on the Gatorade Shower betting odds menu and are really hoping it was orange.

Super Bowl 57 Gatorade prop is now called the ‘liquid’ prop, probably because Gatorade has too much sugar and that’s bad. Those odds are as Feb. 4.

  • Note: Rams dumped blue Gatorade on Sean McVay’s head near the end of Super Bowl 56.

For argument’s sake, Bill Belichick got a blue liquid shower after Super Bowl 53. Two years earlier, the Patriots were apparently scared to do it to cranky Coach Bill, so there was no Gatorade shower at all. Boring old Patriots….

When did the Gatorade shower prop begin?

It actually began during the 1986 season and continued through the playoffs as the New York Giants won Super Bowl XXI. Bill Parcells is believed to be the first NFL coach to get the bath. Since we are down with any bet on the Super Bowl, we figured we better do our research. So we watched every game, studied the game film in slow motion of every Gatorade shower.

Not all winning coaches got doused. But the ones that did, we have the data. Now you can check out the chart below and not do the same work yourself when you are handicapping the next Super Bowl Gatorade shower prop!
