Matthew Stafford waited 14 years for this and now the longtime Detroit QB is the Super Bowl MVP favorite for the Los Angeles Rams.
Stafford was sitting at +110 while his counterpart Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals was +225. Its rare for defensive players to win the award by Aaron Donald is the fifth betting choice at 15-1.

Patrick Mahomes won this award last year and he is even odds to repeat as Super Bowl 55 MVP, according to odds posted midweek.
Let’s face it, winning QBs usually win this award, collecting 8 of the past 11 MVP trophies. That’s why you see such short odds on Mahomes and TB QB Tom Brady. And while defensive players have won in recent years (Von Miller and Malcolm Smith), its the QBs and WRs who usually steal the show.
Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce and interesting value bets in the 12-1 range while Leonard Fournette could be a workhorse for the Bucs and interesting at 25-1.

Julian Edelman broke the recent streak of quarterbacks winning Super Bowl MVP awards when he claimed the Super Bowl 53 prize.
But it was right back to the string of QBs this year, with Patrick Mahomes winning the Super Bowl 54 MVP in a spectacular comeback against San Francisco.
He and Niner QB Jimmy Garappolo had been comfortably at the top of the Super Bowl MVP odds list.
Mahomes, fresh off sparkling playoff performances against the Texans and Titans, is almost even odds at +115. Garoppolo – who barely threw any passes as the Niners stomped the Packers with their running attack in the NFC title game – is second betting choice at +195. Other books have Jimmy G at a much more attractive prize of +275, if you believe he will win it).
Raheem Mostert’s monster game in the NFC title game (4 TDS and 200+ yards) got the attention of oddsmaker, who made him the third choice at 6-1. Teammates George Kittle, the talented tight end who can block, run and catch, and rookie lineman Nick Bosa are next at 12-1 and 18-1.
The next KC Chief on the list is tight end Travis Kelce, currently at 20-1. Running back Damien Williams is 22-1.

Who Will Super Bowl 53 MVP?
No list of Super Bowl props is complete without a bet on who will be named Super Bowl MVP and any game involving Tom Brady will see him at the top of that list.
The Pete Rozelle Trophy almost always goes to the winning quarterback, hence no surprise to see Brady and LA Rams QB Jared Goff as the best Super Bowl MVP odds – and its not even close. Brady won the award in 2015, which was no surprise when comparing the number of winning Super Bowl quarterbacks to who wins the Super Bowl MVP (nine of 12 between Super Bowl 41 and 52).
*Editor Note: Julian Edelman won Super Bowl 53 MVP as a 25/1 bet!
With the point spread moving quickly in favor of the Patriots, many believe New England will win and Brady was sitting at +125 as of Jan. 22, 2019. (That means a $100 bet gives you a $125 profit if he wins).
Goff is next at +225. Before that, its a steep drop-off and fans of running backs can get a terrific payout if either rookie Sony Michel (14/1) or stud Todd Gurley (16/1) can have a big game. CJ Anderson is also 16/1.
Do you think Rams lineman Aaron Donald can become a rare defensive player to win? He’s a 20/1 long shot and could be good value if he can blow up some plays and harass Brady all day. Check out the full list below and watch for updates and view the Super Bowl MVP winners list for every result.
