The New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys are the leaders on the odds to win their respective conferences heading into Week 16 of the NFL season.
The Patriots, who have clinched the AFC East title and a first-round bye with their 12-2 record on the season, are the EVEN favorites on the odds to win the AFC. New England is riding a five-game winning streak and quarterback Tom Brady has shown no ill effects from missing the start of the season due to his Deflategate suspension.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are then the +450 second favorites on the AFC title odds, as they try to hold off the Baltimore Ravens (+2500) for the AFC North title. The 9-5 Steelers will host the 8-6 Ravens on Christmas Day, with Ben Roethlisberger and company 5-point home favorites.
It’s then the Oakland Raiders at +650 and the Kansas City Chiefs at +750 on the odds to win the AFC title, with the 11-3 Raiders holding a one-game lead on the 10-4 Chiefs in the AFC West standings. Oakland is the only team besides New England in the AFC to have already clinched a playoff berth.
The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Titans are all at +2500 on the AFC title odds, with those teams battling for first place in the AFC South. Both Houston and Tennessee are 8-6 on the season, with the Texans owning the tiebreaker. The Colts are 7-7.
The Denver Broncos, defending Super Bowl champions, are at +3300 on the conference odds and outside the playoff picture heading into Week 16 at 8-6 on the season. The 9-5 Miami Dolphins enter the week in the second AFC wild card position and sit at +4000 to win the conference.
Over in the NFC the Cowboys are the +160 favorites to win the conference title. Dallas enters Week 16 at a conference-best 12-2 and has already clinched a playoff berth but could still be caught by the 10-4 New York Giants (+900) for the NFC East title.
The Seattle Seahawks, champions of the NFC West at 9-4-1, are next at +240 on the NFC title odds, followed by the Green Bay Packers at +700. The Packers enter Week 16 riding a four-game winning streak that has them at 8-6 on the season, and in the NFC’s second wild card position.
It’s then the 9-5 Atlanta Falcons at +850 to win the NFC as they try to hold off the 8-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3300) for first place in the NFC South standings. The 9-5 Detroit Lions, leaders of the NFC North by one game on the Packers, are at +1400 on the NFC title odds.
The 7-6-1 Washington Redskins (+5000), 7-7 Minnesota Vikings (+6600), and 6-8 Carolina Panthers (+10000) round out the odds to win the NFC as they look for some wins and some help to get into the playoffs over the final two weeks of the regular season.
