Seahawks and Patriots Remain the Super Bowl Favorites

With the NFL Divisional Playoffs on tap for this weekend the Seattle Seahawks have strengthened their position as the favorites to win their second straight Super Bowl title, pegged at 2/1 at the online sportsbooks.
The Seahawks have seen their Super Bowl odds soar since posting six straight SU and ATS wins to repeat as NFC West champs.
Seattle opened the season with odds of 6/1 in Super Bowl betting before tumbling to 8/1 following a mediocre 3-3 start. But the Seahawks’ odds have steadily improved, moving them solidly ahead of the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and Denver Broncos, who have each enjoyed stints as favorites in Super Bowl 2015 betting.
Currently, the Patriots trail the Seahawks with Super Bowl odds of 10/3. New England faces a tough challenge this weekend when they take on the Baltimore Ravens as seven-point favorites, but a Super Bowl matchup between the Pats and Seahawks remains the betting favorite, with odds of 9/4.
The Packers have fallen off the pace slightly since emerging as 7/2 Super Bowl betting favorites in late November. Green Bay enters Divisional Playoff Weekend pegged at 11/2 in Super Bowl betting, and a 5/2 bet to emerge as NFC champions.
Despite posting SU wins in five of their last six games, Denver has also seen their Super Bowl odds lengthen since being pegged as 13/4 favorites in mid-November. The Broncos, who take on the Indianapolis Colts as seven-point favorites on Sunday afternoon, head into the weekend at 6/1 in Super Bowl 2015 betting and a 4/1 bet to face the Seahawks on Super Bowl Sunday.
The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the surprise stories of this NFL season, which they opened as 66/1 longshots in online Super Bowl betting. The Cowboys made their return to the postseason following a four-year absence, and travel to Green Bay with Super Bowl odds of 7/1.
The Cowboys posted a controversial 24-20 win over Detroit on Wild Card Weekend, but are just 2-7 SU in their last nine postseason matchups, and are a 1/14 bet to fall short of a Super Bowl victory this season.
The Indianapolis Colts led the NFL in point production for much of the regular season, and posted an 11-5 record en route to their ninth AFC South division title in 12 years. But despite their strong play on both sides of the ball, the Colts trail the favorites in Super Bowl betting with odds of 16/1, and are a distant 8/1 bet to win the AFC.
The Baltimore Ravens lived up to their long-held reputation as a playoff team to be feared when they knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 30-17 upset win on Wild Card Weekend. But despite the Ravens’ 10-4 SU record in their last 14 postseason matchups they remain 18/1 longshots in online Super Bowl betting.
The Carolina Panthers, who resurrected their lost season with four SU wins to repeat as NFC South champs, round out the pack in Super Bowl betting, with odds of 14/1 to emerge as NFC champs, and 28/1 to win their first Super Bowl since 2003.
