Super Bowl 53 Odds: Saints Enter Week 17 as Betting Favorites

Super Bowl 53 odds

With one week remaining in the NFL’s regular season, the New Orleans Saints are the Super Bowl 53 odds favorites.
On the latest Super Bowl 53 odds, the Saints sit alone at the top at +250. Following last week’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Saints have secured a bye through the first round of the postseason and assured themselves home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
That home-field advantage could be key to the Saints returning to the Super Bowl this season. At home in the playoffs, the Saints have been practically unbeatable with six straight wins. New Orleans hasn’t lost a home playoff game since 1993. If you are a totals bettor, you may also want to take note of the trends, as at home in the playoffs New Orleans has gone OVER the total nine times in a row.

Super Bowl 53 Odds: Rams, Chiefs Following Behind the Saints

Following the Saints on the Super Bowl odds are the Los Angeles Rams at +390 and the Kansas City Chiefs at +450.
The Rams got back on track with a win last week after losing their previous two contests. And, they did it with Pro Bowl running back Todd Gurley out with a knee injury. The Rams also appear destined for a first-round bye, something they may desperately need to help get Gurley back to as close to full health as possible. One minus for the Rams is that in order to get to the Super Bowl, there’s a good chance they’ll have to get through either, or both, New Orleans and the Chicago Bears. Los Angeles has lost to both of them already this season.
The Chiefs currently have a first-round bye sitting atop the AFC West, but that could easily change if they lose in Week 17. The Chiefs are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers atop the division at 11-4, but they have the tiebreaker. If Kansas City wins this week against the Oakland Raiders, they claim the division and the bye. However, if somehow they were to lose to the Raiders and the Chargers beat the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs get a first-round Wild Card matchup.

Super Bowl 53 Odds: Ravens Trending Up on the Futures List

If you’re looking for some of the biggest gainers and loser on the Super Bowl futures, this week the standouts are the Baltimore Ravens, Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens only need a win this week over the Cleveland Browns to lock up the AFC North title. That has moved them up to +1600 from +2700 on the Super Bowl 53 odds.
The Chargers flamed out against the Ravens last week and it may end up costing them a shot at the AFC West and a first-round bye. Thanks to that result, the oddsmakers dropped the Chargers down to +1200 on the Super Bowl 53 futures after they sat at +750 a week earlier.
The Steelers’ playoff lives are on life support and it shows on the Super Bowl futures. After dropping four of their last five games, the Steelers are outside the playoffs and need a loss by Baltimore to have any chance of getting back into the postseason picture. That’s why they’re down to +4000 on the futures compared to +1800 last week.
