Surging Vikings Continue March Up Super Bowl 50 Odds

Following their fourth straight win, a hard-fought 21-18 victory over the St. Louis Rams, the Minnesota Vikings have vaulted up the Super Bowl 50 odds, entering Week 10 at 20/1 on the NFL futures at the sportsbooks.
The victory over St. Louis extends Minnesota’s straight up win streak to four games, improving their overall record to 6-2, good for a share of first place in the NFC North alongside the struggling Green Bay Packers.
Minnesota has also proven to be a reliable bet at the online sportsbooks, posting seven straight against the spread wins, but have yet to be pegged as a favorite of more than three points this season.
That trend continues this weekend, when they visit the Oakland Raiders as early 3-point underdogs.
The Raiders have returned to respectability this season, posting a 4-4 SU record, while covering the spread in five of their last seven. However, they have yet to receive a lift on the Super Bowl 50 odds, where they remain stalled at 75/1.
The New Orleans Saints lead a trio of teams that took a tumble this week in Super Bowl betting.
The Saints saw a three-game SU win streak end last week with a stunning 34-28 upset loss at home to the Tennessee Titans, plummeting their futures odds from 66/1 to 100/1, while the Rams fell from 40/1 to 50/1.
The Atlanta Falcons, who rocketed to 16/1 after opening with five straight victories, have nosedived after losing three of their last four SU, and their last five ATS, and currently sit at 40/1.
The New England Patriots have pulled away from the pack, riding their perfect 8-0 SU record to a 9/4 perch atop the Super Bowl odds.
The Packers remain the Patriots’ closest competition at the sportsbooks, maintaining strong 15/4 odds despite their current two-game SU losing streak, while the undefeated Carolina Panthers sit alongside the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals at 8/1.
The Cincinnati Bengals also take a perfect 8-0 record into Week 10, but continue to trail the favorites with 10/1 odds, followed by the Denver Broncos, who suffered their first loss of the season last weekend, and are now listed at 12/1.
The Seattle Seahawks round out the front of the pack at 14/1, well ahead of the New York Giants at 18/1, and the Pittsburgh Steelers at 22/1, while the Indianapolis Colts join the Philadelphia Eagles at 28/1.
The New York Jets are deadlocked with the Rams at 50/1, ahead of the fading Dallas Cowboys at 66/1, the Buffalo Bills, who keep the Saints company at 100/1, the Houston Texans at 125/1, and the Kansas City Chiefs at 150/1.
The Titans are joined by the Miami Dolphins at 200/1, followed by the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins at 250/1, the Jacksonville Jaguars at 300/1, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, each sporting 500/1 odds.
The San Diego Chargers, meanwhile, have tumbled to 1000/1, ahead of the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns, who enter Week 10 pegged as 2000/1 longshots.
